How would I go about hiding an object? Like for example if I had one object going and wanted to change scenes, how would I hide the object to transition?
Another question regarding audio and video files: is it possible to trim the audio and video files you import down, and if so how?
Thanks to everyone here for helping a newbie out!

I have found the free program to be very useful to trim and do several things with voices. It's called Audacity, there is also a beta version but I would suggest keeping away from that, at present.
Fro recording I use my Olympus DM 20 for both music and digital audio. while it will export to wav it's import formats are limited.
For cutting any video just use a normal film editor.
By the way, today I have come across a gad-jet to import such things as vinol records audio c assets. This is called U-Record.
Ones in your computer you can hen you can adapt, cut and edit in Audacity. and if your so minded convert into MP3 and copy to CD's or DVD's
