Is there a way to duplicate an action in the action list so that you can then edit it and make it different, but retain the original action? I am trying to construct some actions, and it would be helpful to be able to take an action and duplicate it, calling it, say, Walk2, while retaining the original Walk. Then I can edit this copy of the action. The Insert Copy command is not what I want, as that inserts keyframes into the mainline.
thanks,
Jack

The Insert Copy command will work for this:
1. Create a new action that you want to be a duplicate. The new action should have a red arrow next to it.
2. Set the time to frame 1.
3. Click once on the old action to highlight it. The red arrow should still be next to the new action.
4. Click the Insert Copy button to insert a copy of the old action into the new action. The new action is now a duplicate of the old one.
