Help with particle depth

Post by Lh123 »

When I create a stream of particles and they start out large and become smaller, some of the smaller particles will appear to be in front of the larger ones. Is there any way to stop that? I just want the stream of bigger particles to get smaller until they disappear. Everything is checked in the particle settings except for Randomize Playback and Use Base Layer As Source. All the numerical options are set to zero except for Particle Count, Preview Particles, and Lifetime (frames). Those are set to 8, 8, and 120.

This is just an example of what I mean:

Any help is appreciated!

No, sadly, particles do not account for actual 3D depth. So particles may not be suitable for that task. You might need to duplicate them and create a cycle instead.

Ah okay, yeah I guess I'll have to do that instead. That's kinda sad cause it would have been much easier this way :(

But thanks for your help!
