Lasso Select for Translate, Rotation tools (v9)

Hello,
Would anyone be able to script the lasso select option for V9 in the following tools?
Translate
Rotate

I never understood this....
Why would you need to hop out of the translate or rotate tool and into the select tool just to lasso select points?

I used Fazek's tools in version 8 and not sure why this isn't an option for the original lm tools.

U can still use fazeks tools, they just need adapting by a quick find/replace operation Ian text editor. (more info in several places, please search as I don't have the info at hand)

There are some limitations (u might like) with fazeks tools in as9 (again, I've posted several times about it)

Mike Kelley has also created a new version of point and select tool that also incorporate curvature, line width and scale into the tools, it's really good! Available at the other forum once you have sufficient involvement...
