one of the biggest "bangs for the buck" I have found for a while. Considering its free - thats a BIG one... Maybe a swirly, spiral blow away one?

Many thanks Vern.

Can someone tell me how to animate each letter like in the sample?
I can anime the words/phrases but not each letter.

Thanks in advance :)

I have another quick question, how can I make start at a different frame? (not at 0)

The only way to do that is to make sure you create the spinning text layers inside a group or bone layer. Then you can use the Sequencer and shift the group layer forward to where you want the effect to start.

Depending on the "direction" of the effect you will need to set visibility keys before shifting the group layer. For example, if the text starts "off screen" and spins into view you will need to set some visibility key frames. Shifting the group layer forward will make frame 0 "visible" before it spins into view.

To do this, before shifting the group layer forward, set the visibility of the group layer OFF on frame 0. Then key visibility ON on frame 1. Now you can shift the layer forward in the time line and it will appear correct. The frame 0 visibility key frame works "backwards" when shifting layers with the sequencer. The frame 0 visibility will keep that frame invisible until it is keyed visible on the layer's frame 1.

If the text is ON screen and then animates OFF screen (Blow Away preset), this extra visibility step is not required because the final text position is visible when starting.

Hope this helps. It's actually easier to do than it sounds. :)

That is exactly why I created it. I couldn't figure out how to animate text in After Effects. It just didn't make any sense and was to difficult to get what I wanted. I tried and just couldn't get really cool fancy stuff easily and quickly. This script gave me exactly what I wanted really fast and easy.

Is it possible to re-link this script. it seems pretty useful for Mo-graph type work. Or is it available somewhere else?
