Double click to select shape tool

I would like to rewrite the select point tool, so when I double click the shape it dose that:
* Start the Select shape tool.
* Select the shape I just clicked.
that would save alot of time.
Can someone make that script?

I can't help you with scripting, but did you know you can alt+right click to select any shape using any tool?

Alt+right click dose nothing for me in 7.1, is it for 8.2?

Oh, sorry, I misunderstood you. I was talking about the select layer tool. Sorry, can't help here.

No double click in the scripting interface, and I am pretty sure you can't switch tools the way you describe.

With Fazek translate point tool you can select shapes and work with them, translate bones also

Select shape tool from Rudriger is ultimate select shape tool, but it isn't for free.
