In what way? AS is 2D and bvh is 3d. How would it be used?

In order to use bvh in AS you would have to "pick" a viewing angle and "flatten" it somehow. Also what would you do with bone rotations? You could only use 2 axes of rotation. Which 2?

I don't see the conversion process being very simple to be honest. Maybe someone could pull it off but it would be a lot of effort. It would probably require some way to "preview" the bvh motion so you could choose a viewing "angle". Not saying it can't be done... but it would be pretty difficult. It might be easier to find a program that can play and view bvh, then export that as a rotoscope reference to "trace" over or copy the action in AS.

Are there any examples of other 2D applications that make use of BVH?

Sir Blender can import BVH and creates Bones automatically. It can export PNG, Is there any way to import PNG file in Anime Studio ( Not as image but as points in vector layer ) ?

No, not the way you described. You could trace the PNGs in another program convert to EPS or AI format and import to AS but you are talking about importing frames of an animation. You would need a vector layer for each frame if you did it like that! You could end up with hundreds of traced PNG vector layers!

If you want to use a Blender animation export QT or AVI from Blender and import THAT into AS. It won't be vector and you can't edit it but you can ROTOSCOPE or "trace" the motion from the movements. Use the imported blender movie animation as a reference to animate the bones or vectors created in Anime Studio.

There is no BVH import in AS. There is no vectorizing of animation files in AS. So you are stuck with rotoscoping or "tracing" the motion from a reference movie.
