Moho 5 Beta 4: Bug report - pause/resume bone dynamics

Post by Postality »

I'm using bone dynamics for a fall animation (a character fell off the edge of a building landing on the ground.)

everything looks very amazing except one problem. When bone constraints are on it acts as if it's still doing the movement past the bone (and pauses the animation), and then coninueing with the bone allowance (resumes back at the part where bones are allowed to move again). very hard to explain but here's the moho example of the problem I'm having...

Just play it in moho and you'll see what I mean, haha.

maybe a bone constraint hit should be implemented so it would somewhat "bounce" off the constraint?

***ALSO***

It doesn't seem like there's a way to turn bone dynamics on / off in the timeline. this would be quite important if you didn't want the character to be a "ragdoll" indefinately

Sorry, but with version 5 finishing up I'm getting kind of swamped. Even if I don't respond, I do read every post, and all bug reports are recorded and tested.

In this case, we've fixed it so that a dynamic bone will bounce back if it hits one of its angle constraints.

absolutely beautiful. I knew you wouldn't let us down.

Thanx a bunch!

BTW I think a simple "fixed" or "working on it" would be enough for a reply for any of the friendly users here on the forums. I can understand you're busy. You're trying to get us what we all want. ;)

Also is there any solution to turn the dynamics on and off?

Not for 5.0. We'll have to see about it in the future.
