Can I import flash (SWF) files?

Post by Postality »

I don't seem to see this option. I tried going to impost AI file and doing a *.* to import it, but it imports it all messed up.

Anyone?

No, Moho cannot import SWF files. Flash can export AI files, so you could try that route.

Do you think MoHo can accept SWF's in future releases?

No, probably not. It's one thing to import still graphics (like AI files), but importing another animation format and trying to fit it into Moho's representation of animation would be, if not impossible, prohibitively complex.

hence the ai import creating tonnes of points =) and why people are working on a vector optimizing script.

I was just thinking, perhaps moho can reference swf files upon rendering.

Like you would animate in moho with a placeholder image, and when it renders it will bring an external swf for that layer. I know ming can do that! =P

altho it sounds like abit of a hack it would mean all layers would be optimized 100%, weird gradients could be used.

again thats just a half baked idea, and take it with a grain of salt or a tub of margerine, i dont mind =P

..i jut wanted to feel important

Yeah i see the point now. Plus it would be all frame-by-frame editing because of the way SWF's are exported.
