Is it me or does copy and pasting keyframes on the timeline rarely work?
it will allow me to paste within visable range of the copied point (if that makes sense), but if i scroll along to the desired frame and try to paste it raises the middle finger

Could you be a little more specific about the problem? What does "it raises the middle finger mean"? Does Moho crash? Does it just not paste the points? What?

i tried copying and pasting frames, worked for me anywhere i placed them.

perhaps its because when you copy frames and then paste them you cant paste them again. (you have to copy and do paste again)

which is what im noticing.

I noticed when you click a keyframe, the timeline scrolls to wherever the playhead is as well

yea sorry for the unclear message, and for the waste of time, ive realised what could be the problem.
I was typing in the frame number i wanted to go to ( and pressing enter to take me there) which deselects the point and must clear the copied data.
It works fine if i just drag the playhead to scroll through the timeline to the desired frame
