Upcoming Anime Studio versions

Post by Fahim »

Hi Folks,

Just wanted to give you all an update on a few exciting things that will be coming up with respect to Anime Studio.

I am hoping to launch the following items in the next few months:
(Fahim's updated comments 6.7.2007)
1. Anime Studio Pro - Linux - launch end of April / beginning of May (completed)
2. Update to Anime Studio (standard & pro) - launch end of May (pushed back to mid June)
3. Anime Studio (standard & pro) Japanese - Windows & Macintosh - launch end of May (pushed back to mid June)
4. Anime Studio (standard & pro) French - Windows & Macintosh - launch mid June (still being localized)

(updates to Anime Studio will fix some existing issues in the current builds)

I am hoping the dates don't change, but if they do, I will make sure to announce it here.

I am always looking forward to getting any input or comments. You can send me an email directly at fahim@e-frontier.com

Regards,

Fahim

Sounds good Fahim.

When will you be able to talk about the updates for AS? I'd like to see what we have to look forward to as I'm sure the other users would as well.

Thanks a lot for the update.

I would be interesting to have an advance in what are the mainly updates for AS standartd and PRO for the end of may.
I'm also glad that the linux version (PRO only?) is not forgotten by e-frontier and still in development. I still being a beta tester for AS PRO for linux and it works good. It was mainly the same version than the last Moho. There is a big potential market in linux world. Congratulations.

If I can suggest it, it could be a good point to have a full usable demo version limited for usage time and/or watermarked and/or save files, like previous versions of Moho. It would cheer up to stardard users to upgrade to PRO and new users to try it before buy.

Great news!!

comments on update version

Post by Fahim »

Hi All,

Firstly, the updated versions will be free to all registered Anime Studio owners.

There will be 2 updated builds Anime Studio and Anime Studio Pro.

Anime Studio's render issue will be solved, we're returning that feature.

The mac version of Anime Studio Pro has a few bugs with image sequence importing, image texture and etc.

On both versions, we'll clean up the manual and try to remove inconsistencies. Both versions will also support UNICODE text (this is the major update)

Mike, will also be cleaning up some other features. As I get more info from him, I will post the list of items up here.

Regards,

Fahim

Basically the update(s) will just fix existing issues in the various versions and not actually add anything new to the program? I like updates that also add features. :)
