Report SPAM button please..

Can we have a "report post" button to report spammers please.

Also, I know I've managed to get wound up by them recently  but locking the thread and removing links might help once it becomes apparent.

There are also loads of spam modules for phpBB that wouldn't take much implementing, checking for velocity of posts, repeated posts etc... maybe worth a look.

For the moment, that button would be me ^_^ I usually try to be on every weekday and the occasional weekends to look out for them - feel free to shoot me a message if you see one that hasn't already been routed to the spam bucket.

traditionally spammers always seem to do sundays ;)

Its not that i dont think this forum is cool..but I'm surprised they bother with the viewing figures... that makes me think its automated based on searches

We only need a report button, that would make things easier.

Bump... If I see one more chuffing Yantram something or other I'll go mental.

Please, Please please
1) add a report post button
2) hide the SPAM bucket from the recent posts search..on the remote chance a post actually goes into the SPAM bucket lol

thanks guys.

As one of the cleaners, I think I have had enough of Yantram. I think you would be surprised just how much stuff is dumped and how quickly. We actually have mods based around the world, and we work in shifts: When the US guys are tucked up in bed, I am sitting at my desk. Similarly, the EU guys are on duty when I am asleep.

Feel free to email anything urgent.

Regards

Rhoel

Oh and a general rule is if you really have to follow the spam link.. copy and paste it into the url bar.. these little monkeys use the REFERER information to see which sites you come from and therefore would determine LM is a good place to fish :)
