Heya,
I'm a big fan of Richard William's book The Animators Survival Kit and (Anime Studio aside) it's probably the best investment I ever made in my favourite hobby.
But I noticed there is now a newer edition called the Expanded Edition that totally passed me by.

As much as I love the book, I'm not gonna shell out for another copy just for the sake of an extra chapter or so of additional content... unless it's a really good chapter!

Has anyone checked out this version?
What's different?

Hard to say if it's worth buying just for the extra chapter. It is typical of Williams material...38 pages of lean and practical advice. He talks about:
* Delayed breaking of joints
* Hollywood hop
* Contrast and change
* Phrasing of dialogue
* Using live reference
* Animal flexibility
* Action on a running dog
* How does a horse really run?
* Horse trotting and galloping
* Birds
* Realism and weight
* Holds
* Life drawing
My opinion is that this is advanced stuff (eg., I don't do any 4-legged animation), so for me I would probably pass if I already had the first edition. (Although I don't know what corrections, if any, are in this edition.)
Your best bet would be to browse it in a bookstore and decide for yourself.
