I'm guessing that since it's by the same guy who did Dexter's Lab, and the Powerpuff Girls, it's probably done the same way. The last rumor I heard, they were using ToonBoom. Although they could be using any Flash type animation software (or even hand drawing it). But it is conceivable that you coul...

Ever watch a Disney cartoon? Whether it's from 1935 or 2004 they are boring pieces... I disagree. While they're writing often isn't quite as punchy as Looney Toons, there are some real classics in the Disney archives. A number of their short films were particularly entertaining (I particularly like...

No worries!! It may be useful to someone in the US. And like you said it may help you decide what you're looking for and what to look out for. In particular a wide variety of courses is often a good sign of a decent animation school. Good luck!

Thanks for all of the suggestions but I guess that's my point. :) The tools are all there. Currently, you just have to jump through hoops to use them. The actual process of putting an animation together (and refining it) is such a large orginizational task, that any tools that can add that organizat...

In an effort to balance out spasmodic_cheese's bizarre animation links , here's a really great website on being unemployed (with some great animations to boot):

Make sure to check out all the animations (through the animation link of course).

This was recommended by spasmodic_cheese in an unrelated thread. Thought I'd put it here for everyone
Just tried it out. Pretty cool. It's a fun and simple paint program for Windows. But most importantly it's free

Sorry for the long post, but you asked for it. First of all, learn to draw. Take classes, doodle and sketch all the time. Draw, draw, draw. It would have made things a lot easier for me. It isn't entirely crucial to be an expert, but it sure does help to know how to sketch out your ideas (even if yo...

There are several things it's missing. Notably: -the ability to compare and work on more than one layer at a time (this is a huge problem of all the keying, not just switch layers, IMO, how can you retime a whole scene, other than doing it all, layer by layer by hand) -the actual name of the layer i...
