Quite a few programs use the enter key for playback (Premier, I believe Flash and Avid DV). Numeric keypad for playback controls would be good, although people with laptops may find that cumbersome. Perhaps disable the space bar from playback while on frame 0? I'm a pretty new user, so I'll go along...

Drawing and playback problems

Would it be possible to change the apply style hotkey or the playback hotkey away from the space bar? I find that sometimes I'll use the select points tool, want to apply a style and press the space bar. Since nothings been animated yet I don't notice. I continue drawing and find myself with a drawi...

I think Lost Marble's calm, reasoned response says tons about their attitude towards its customers. No matter how crazy or insulting our requests and comments are, Lost Marble's responses are always well thought out and even warm, especially given how insulting we can sound. I have some ideas for tu...

OOOOOHHHH DOGGY! I haven't even scratched the surface on 5's new stuff, to think you have even more great stuff in future versions in the works.... it makes it difficult to concentrate at work. I just want to go home and use Moho!

Ooooooo! That would be an awesome addition to an already awesome product.

Any thoughts on keying/animating emitter attributes?

Particle fields and keying attributes

I always feel a little silly posting Feature Requests for something that I know won't be even thought about until the next version (or further). But it doesn't hurt to ask. First of all, let me kiss some butt first. Moho's particle system is awesome. Sprite based particles with quick render times! C...

I'm 30 (31 in 2 weeks!). I've been animating for 3 years now (4 if you include After Effects title/multimedia work). I've been tinkering with Moho for less than two months. I'm hoping to have a full blown demo version test animation in the next couple of weeks, then I might be able to convince the w...

The Drawing Board may be worth a look for checking out various artists and styles - see http://www.sketchbooksessions.com/thedrawingboard/index.php, particularly the illustration and sketchbook forums. This forum is awesome! Thanks for the link! There's a ton of talented artists all willing to help...

As for your poll... I'm guessing Flash already had the market and Adobe just didn't really want the headache. The dot com crash probably didn't help matters. That and I'm guessing that aside from Photoshop, Flash is probably one the most pirated pieces of software out there, not much of an incentive...

The tutorials that come with Flash are probably the best place to start. Last I checked (granted that was about with version 4) they covered pretty nicely all the basics of animation.

Perhaps the best solution may be to open the Lua script in future versions to include control over the interface design as well. Then it would be possible on at least a rudimentary level to accomodate everyone and not require constant noodling by Lost Marble, letting them get to the goal of creating...

Thanks very much for the replies. its probably your brain-to-paper(computer) ability. That's definitly the weak point in my projects at the moment. Technical and tool aptitude is not. I work with Maya all day on Linux, technically no small feat, but it doesn't mean I can draw (or model, or paint, or...

the style seems...unprofessional. I think everyone using any Adobe or Macromedia products would totally disagree with you on this point. Movable windows allow for a UI setup that's customizable to how the end user not the programmer works. 4.5 seemed to be even more cramped than 5. You couldn't eve...

Vector drawing programs for Linux?

I'm looking for a vector drawing program (not a bitmap converter) for Red Hat Linux. Hopefully one that supports a tablet and can export as an eps. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Kurt :D
