Re: Disappointing expensive Moho 12 Update

I am ashamed to say, like others, I will be waiting for a sale before I take the plunge. The thing is that Smith Micro sales are often so good that it makes sense to wait for them. I remember one that was 65% off ASP! And with the massive price hike, that discount becomes serious money! Another thin...

Re: Well, it is animation...kind of...

The parallax effects were nice, but it was rather dull as a piece of storytelling. More of a tech demo and website sales pitch than entertainment.

But I couldn't do that techie stuff, so kudos to the guy. :D

Re: Moho 12

Oh that is looking just amazing!

I too am keen to know the price. If it's low enough I won't even wait for the webinar. :)

Re: Moho 12

Darn it, I won't be able to attend the webinar. Can someone make sure it is put on Youtube as quickly as possible please?

What's the release date? And what's the price?

Re: TOONZ GOES OPEN SOURCE

Regarding examples of modern animation - and the lack of quality therein - I've found one example, made by an individual animator, producer, musician, etc. (this may be very old news for some of you) that exemplifies and perhaps exceeds the standards of the classic animated shorts we all know: &quo...

If you're complaining that 3600 frames in 30 minutes is slow, NEVER do 3D. :D

Re: Moho 12

This is great news, I can't wait! Not sure on the name change, now that Modo is so popular, but at least no one will confuse Anime with Animate (formerly Toon Boom, now Adobe) which is what I always heard. And why Moho 12 instead of just Moho? Surely nobody will remember Moho 5 and get confused. And...

Re: TOONZ GOES OPEN SOURCE

Mike: If you argue with me - I will argue back. I'm not looking to argue, just to discuss. It doesn't help anybody if either of us are misinformed. :) You say all of the major studios that I named (ILM, Dreamworks, Cartoon Network), are outsourcing the majority of their animation and CG effects to ...

Re: What naming convention do you use for left and right sid

I've always used Front and Back, as most of my animation is done at 3/4, it's very rare that I animate face on (or back to the camera), which is the only time Front and Back isn't obvious.

Re: TOONZ GOES OPEN SOURCE

Toonz Premium must be aiming at these same (few and far between) studios too - they don't even publish a price online. One minute on Google - http://www.toonz.com/premiumbuy/bp.htm - hardly professional studio pricing. It is my opinion that the largest market for 2D animation software - with the mo...

Re: Blender (Sensei Format) Viable as a Total Animation Plat

Do you need to buy those paid-for plug-ins to get the most out of Sensei?

I don't want to watch all those videos if it's just a bait-and-switch at the end.

Re: TOONZ GOES OPEN SOURCE

From my observations, the Japanese coding team for OpenToonz still considers developing the software for use in Traditional Workflows as important as developing the software further for Paperless workflows. The Italian team of coders for Toonz Premium seems to have that view, as well. Have you spok...
