Re: Question on Frame by Frame animation
Well, the "real thing" is drawn by hand (whether it be with a pencil or some piece of software as a tool). Assuming you can draw, there's of course Richard Williams' book "The Animator Survival Kit". John Kricfalusi's site (that's the guy from Ren and Stimpy) has quite some stuff...

Looks very nice. I like how the room gets lighter (faded in, as it were) when we get closer to the window. Just a couple of quick observations : - The contrasts in the castle walls are so great that it breaks up the major form (the bricks vs the plaster). - If I'm narrowing my eyes, it's not the cas...

Re: frame by frame animation testing
Looks nice. The timing is a bit off. The pitcher's arm is at maximum speed after he has thrown the ball. I think Digicel Flipbook is the best tool to do frame by frame animation to get the timing right (program is centered around an easy to use exposure sheet). It can act as a "pencil sketch&qu...

Re: Dead or Alive we'll be together forever
Hehe, that was a funny movie. I would speed it up a bit though (lingers too long on some scenes), perhaps use the "Mad Doctor of Blood Island" shock zoom on the blown up face of the boyfriend (to make is more cheesy). I do miss a punch line to the story though. (looks at name) Ah yes, the ...

Re: 3D Clip inside 2D Animation. Camel Run
I would try to get each of the camels be at a different point in their walk cycle. It looks a bit mechanical right now because they each bounce their head at exactly the same time.

Re: been a while
It's a very nice animation. Just a couple of quick observations : 1 - The left and right part of the faces do exactly the same thing. They mirror each other actions. Having one eye brow raised, the other lowered, one eye more open, the other squinting, the mouth pulling to one side, etc. adds a bit ...

Re: New Scene from "Eve of October"
Looks great NeoMarz. It has atmosphere and very nicely drawn backgrounds and characters. There's one thing I'd like to point out though. You work a lot with close ups and the left and right half of the faces act in exactly the same way. If one eye brow is raised then the other is raised at exactly t...

Does it have to be on 1s or can it be on 2s?
They must have asked for a Flash animator because for traditional animation those 20 bucks wouldn't even cover the cost of the paper

Oh my God! It's the AntiChrist, beckoning to us, trying to break into our plane of existence!
Great effect used greatly. This is where the software can really add value because I wouldn't want to draw such a thing by hand.

Well, it's a hard thing, moderation. I've been a moderator on an artist forum made of WetCanvas renegades (there are lots of forums of wetcanvas renegades). The artist who made the forum was all about free speech and all that. And I was too. I never banned a member, nor locked threads. The people we...

Re: Velaris Saga prologue
Looks pretty good. Great voices. Would add some more cuts and angles to keep interest going. I would go easy on the black outlines. They take away from the color shading. Making them thinner might be good or just give them a different color than black (long ago they used to ink with different colors...

Re: Some of my animations
This looks absolutely great Aviles. One minor point though : the professor character zooms off into the sky without anticipation or squash and stretch. It's just the same drawing but then moving faster. Your animation could have a bit more "snap" to it if you added a couple of extra drawin...

Re: My Humble Offering
It's an excellent idea. A lone alien sending out his Slim Whitman mating wails. But you could make the alien more expressive to sell the idea better and make it funnier. Something like this
