vector vs. bitmap
Why couldn't an animator take a rigged vector character, and just change the layer which defines the body with a bitmap image? Obviously, the size and general dimensions of the vector character should approximate the size and shape of the bitmapped image. Wouldn't the rigging still function the same...

Make a character dance to the music
I'm new to AS and animation, and have seen how to animate lyp sync of the mouth using Papagayo with AS. What should I do if I want to get a character to dance to the music? Specifically, I want certain body motions to be in time with the music. For example, the right foot hits the ground on the 1st ...

I don't think it is. However, I've been experimenting with batch command-line rendering in a program I've been starting to work on. If I can create a multi-threaded program, and have each thread render a separate scene file, that would be as close as it would ever get. I still don't know if that wo...

:( It appears they have taken them down. Looks like there's no more free demo. Was it a demo? I thought they were referring to samples/examples. Either way, it is probably short sighted of Smith Micro. The more they share, the more potential customers. I'd look on youtube, but I'm not sure what I'm...

Recommended 3rd party video assembly app
Hi, I'm new to animation and Anime Studio, didn't initially realize that another video editing app might commonly be used with the Anime Studio output. However, I'm thinking about combining some live footage with the animations so this might not be a bad idea. I'm interestred in keeping costs down a...

is AS Pro multi-threaded yet?
With all these core2 and QuadCore CPUs out there, just wondered if anyone knows whether this application is multi-threaded so that it takes advantage of multi CPU cores.

The guitar part was a real challange, I now really appreciate all the little things every animator does to acheive detail, It definately does take patience!!
Thanks again
