You're right, but planning will always be an important part of animation. I should know, I never plan ahead and have to work myself out of problems constantly! Storyboards? We don't need no stinkin' storyboards!

Right now I just make sure the dimensions are the same when I replace it. If I use a transparent .png for example I create it on a canvas with identical size.

Possible, but the original value was 10, and 9 or 11 would not make that much difference right...where's the CIAO!...?

Soft edge

I have a small animation http://www.nobudgetvideo.com/moho/stephan_vliegtuig.wmv and if you look carefully the shiny parts on the wings alternate sharp/blurred. It should remain blurred, I put on a soft edge in the fill properties. The wings are scaled with bones. Any ideas? The only thing I can thi...

Nice drawing style, the combination between 3D objects and Moho manipulation works very well!

Claymohtion

I've been experimenting with claymohtion a bit and I wanted to share the results so far. It's only 9 seconds but it's a bit different from the usual shared work here. And if you're thinking "why this clip on a Moho forum?" I just want to say; thank you! Watch it here: www.nobudgetvideo.com...

Really good, the atmosphere is perfect. The only critisism I can think of; it's too short! The character design is simple but it's an original style and it works very well here. How long will the total animation be and is there going to be dialogue?

The best solution at the moment would be designing your text in another program and importing to Moho. You can't change the text in Moho but at least you can use special characters. I'd probably take a Photoshop type of program and create .png text. If I decide to change the text I'd create a new .p...

"What is the purpose of placing a bone on the "floor" or unconnected to the character?" That's a good way to set an "anchor" bone that can easily manipulate the complete skeleton, for moving the skeleton for example. Like the base of a skeleton model, pick up the base ...

Thies, compress it with an encoder like Divx, Xvid or Windows Media Encoder, all free (divx?) encoders that can reduce file size drastically. Or the Riva encoder, also free and simple to use http://www.rivavx.com/index.php?encoder&L=3

Thanks, and it does seem I'm one of the few using bitmap graphics in this way in Moho and I can't understand why others don't use it more. The bones are great for this, this clip was low quality but the entire face was distorted with bones, mouth, eyebrows, even the nose for some fake head turning, ...

Monster test

I wanted to test if I could create a kind-of realistic scene with a spider-like monster (sounds realistic right?) so I grabbed a moody background, cut-out some photos to create a weird looking monster, added bones, smoke and a camera move in Moho and I want to share this little test animation: http:...
