While I'm thinking about it, is the only way to include an image layer to zip it up with the .anme file?

Thanks Vern, mine works fine. I'll try again. If not I'll just copy your link. And yeah, I meant to give you credit Genete. That's by no means my discovery. I figured the heavy scripting folks would just ignore it. Like I said, non-Pro users may find some of those rigs useful. Not to mention myself,...

Parenting cross-constraint example

I made this up for my own reference, but maybe someone else could find it helpful. These are examples of using bone parenting to make one constraint input (translate, rotate,or scale) output to a different constraint of another bone. I think these will help minimize control points on a rig. Another b...

I may have the wrong version of Fazek's utility. I'll mess with it later. I'm trying to sacrifice know for doing at this point.

copy/paste shapes?

Is there any way to copy and paste shapes? Is the only option to copy/paste the points and recreate the fill?

Yeah, I was just being dense. I've installed Fazek's tools, but now I'm having a problem with the tools panel not responding. Seems to have something to do with switching tools.

Translate points auto-weld quit working

Okay, I've got a pretty point heavy face. I've been vector tracing it using add point and translate point tools(standard ASP install), toggling the auto-weld of both often. I'm almost done and then the translate points auto-weld quits working. I can add more points and they auto-weld fine, and new p...

I was just wondering if a script could be made that would create a multilayer bone. Create it on one bone layer and have it appear on all nested bone layers. Then this 'one' bone could be controlled from any of its layers. Just a thought.

Another thing... you could easily have that whole set up under one bone layer. No need for an "extra" nested layer. I try as much as possible to have ALL animation done on one bone layer. Probably have to use some bone offset though. Yeah, like I said when I posted it, I was too far along...

Okay, here's my first test run on this. Don't ask why I put it in a switch layer( I was making it more complicated than it was). And yes, I know with a regular bone layer I could have put all the controls on one layer, but I didn't feel like reworking all that. Let me know what ya think. Any ideas f...

For instance I was talking with a forum member who had trouble setting up my "flipper" layer script for using TransRotate and RotateTrans, etc. It is complicated because of all the special bone names and some bugs I missed. Glad to be of assistance. It's always nice to know my newbie ques...

Yeah slowtiger, I know I'm being overly ambitious for a newbie. Maybe ridiculously so. It's just how I go about learning things, I guess. If I can figure out this little complicated bit, then I'm just that much further along. Heyvern, I would greatly apreciate a rig like that to at least study, and ...

Thanks. I'll see what I can do with these. I'm needing to do a non-uniform scale in the direction of the iris motion, to forshorten it around the 'curvature' of the eyeball. And I'm really trying to make minimal control points.

Thanks Fiziwig. I think that'll do the trick. Now all I need is the 'master control bone' script so that I can control the sublayer bone from my top bone layer.
