If there was to be a frame by frame thing, how would moho's interface change to support this. Will it be another room or will it be on the same timeline? wouldn't all the drawings hog up alot of memory and ram (bahh)?

MoHo Excepts .eps or .ai. (Adobe illustrator files) and i think it also excepts .svg. But, to my knowledge, moho doesn't import SWF files. To start to put bones on your characters, you must first make a bone layer. In your layers panel, there are 4 buttons. In order from left to right they are: &quo...

I'm guessing you're using an older version of Moho. Because the older version of MoHo had real bad flash export. But now V5 is in beta testing and has outstandingly(!!) great flash export which supports gradients. Heres a link so you can update yourself: http://www.lostmarble.com/downloads/moho5beta...

I like the style of the characters. They have a modern look that I've seen on greetings cards and in some children's books. Cheers, Yeah i was going for the child look. So everyones all like "awww" then comes the final birds blast, it kind of shocks the audience (or sends them into laught...

Cartoon editor!!

I found this bit of software today. I haven't given it a wizz yet but it seems pretty good by the looks of things. Think of it as a cut down version of MoHo really...and its a really cut down version. Though i still think you should check it out, its mainly Mac based, but if you've downloaded Java a...

In these objects, you often seem to have welded two adjacent points together. While Moho 4 allows this, it isn't a good thing to do (Moho 5 prevents you from doing this). I'm guessing that you did this to remove one of the points, but the better approach would be to just select one of the points an...

I do have beta2 and the export was still giving me troubles. It didn't import the blue bird and the black bird properly, just the outlines. Heres the file: Birds File - 255kb (right click and Save Target as..) The file was made in a MoHo V4, then exported using the MoHo 5 Beta2. another example is t...

Birds

I made this within an hour, but MoHo's flash export still wasn't up to scratch, so i had to spend about another two hours putting in the colour. But heres the outcome.

I think you should give the users the choice. You can make an export to Flash 5 (or older, maybe!!!) or you could export the compressed, flash (6)MX and above version. That way, it keeps everyone happy. Though this may make the file size of moho go up abit, but this would make MoHo more usuable for ...

well if you compress a SWF, it will only play in flash players 6 onwards and imports into flash (6)MX and above.

Well i've just given it a spin and what a difference it has made. I imported some files into MX and it was all good really. Though i see what you mean about the shape thing, this could become quite annoying for some people. I have a character, if i were to import this into flash (MX) it loses colour...
