Ah, yes, that's where they are. I did specify that folder, and it contains everything I would need. Thank you, ulrik.

Tool folders?

Hi I'm running a Mac, OS 10.7.4. I've just downloaded and installed ASPro 9 and in my Applications folder there is no folder for ASPro, only the application itself. Where are the tool and script folders located on the Mac? I've looked in the Library, in the Application Support folder and there is no...

Re: ASP 9 announced

So, looking at the link Selgin put in it looks like ASP9 is not actuallyu OUT yet. They're just saying to new users buy version 8 and then get 9 at a discount when it comes out. So we will probably all get an email about upgrading when 9 actually comes out and is available.

Re: Reducing Redundant Vector Points in Text

I've never found the text in ASPro to be very useful. The outlines are not true to the font. So I use images when I need to put text into an animation in ASPro. I make the text in Photoshop, save it out as a PNG file with transparency and put it into ASPro. It works much better and looks better. Jack

That is absolutely fantastic! LOVE the style, and you're right - I learned something. I'm in the business of scientific animation and illustration, and this is an excellent piece.

For the grass you say, "I drew every blade." Maybe for that try a brush stroke instead of individual vector blades. If there is no suitable preset brush for grass you can make one. I think they are simply png files with a transparent background.

The top timeline you show looks like it's from Cinema 4D. I also use Cinema 4D and I like the timeline layer feature it has, where it shows the animation attributes for all objects at the same time. AS will not do this. The AS timeline only shows the keys and attributes only for the one layer that i...

I also cannot download. I get the same message - can't verify my serial number. All caps, no o's or i's, just 1's and 0's. In USA also.

Did you adjust some of the controls in the Trace dialog, such as the detail reduction? If you move that slider you'll see dramatic changes in the detail as you go left or right. Also, I don't think the Trace Image tool was meant to necessarily give you a perfect tracing of an image. What it really d...
