The way it works in LightWave is the program has a list of installed plugins/scripts, and when the scene is written it only saves the name of the script in the scene, not the absolute path, so you just have to have the script in the LW plugins directory, not anywhere else. I'm kind of torn between t...

<cross post> I would like to see the layers script references in the anme file just be the script file name, rather than the whole path, as this stops scenes being easily portable from one artist to another. If the script exists somewhere in the Scripts folder in the AS directory, AS should find the...

I would really like to see layer scripts only referenced by their names rather than a path. Then you just have to copy the layer_script into your anime studio scripts directory for them to be looked up by AS and loaded. With absolute references, that doesn't allow users to have AS where they want it.

Free 'Use parent bones' script.
I don't know if anyone has done this, or is actually interested, but I've written an embedded script which allows bones in a switch layer to mimic bones with the same names in the switch's parent. This means you can animate bones in one layer, without having to select the switch layer and then anima...

The ability to have switch layers morph between nested switch layers. For example, I have a front head and side head, which have blended switch layers to determine eye/mouth shape etc. It'd be nice to be able to morph those as the face blends from front to side, without having to have all the shapes...

Okay, I finally got round to putting it up on its own web page, with a list of its current feature set. If people want it to do more, you'll have to ask, and more requests are more likely to get it done.
