If I understand your question correctly you want one bone to control the whole layer, and a second bone to control only certain points in that layer. Is that what you want? If so, I have a solution: nested bone layers. Here's an example. The large bone is bound to the whole layer, and the small bone...

Another small feature request

A non-animating "Noisy Outline" and "Noisy Fill". In other words, a noisy outline/fill that doesn't keep changing and jumping around whenever you pan or zoom the layer or camera. It would be a handy way to draw bushes, for example. Just draw a circle and let AS drew all the littl...

Nobody has any comments on my animation?
I enjoyed your animation. It was very clever.

Traffic on this forum is not terribly heavy. Sometimes it takes a looooong time to get any responses.

The pacing of the movement is good--the camera clips along a nice brisk speed. Nice pullback with the camera, too. The walk cycles look good to me--good job on that. The second character bumping into the first was a nice touch. Frankly, I don't like the drawings one bit, but I don't think you're in...

It's QuickTime embedded mov. I tried it on a different computer (PC) and it worked fine. I do sometimes have a problem with my host being slow and QuickTime times out, but right now it seems to be fine from where I'm sitting.

What OS and browser? Do you have the QuickTime plug-in?

A Newbies first movie.

Well, the first part of my movie, anyway. So far I have opening titles and the first scene, with soundtrack score for the titles. I still need to record dialog and Foley, and compose some short music cues for certain spots in the script that call for them. The script reads out at 2:30 and with closi...

Hi,

I haven't even tried to animate a scanned image. It seems like it would give better control to redraw the scanned image as AS shapes, so that's what I've been doing.

Nope. I'm just a beginner with AS and animation in general. I've been doing this for only ten days now, so I only write tutorials on what I've learned so far. Which isn't much.

The image error you are getting is on the QuickTime movie. Do you have the QuickTime plug-in in your browser? If not, then you can't watch the QT movies.

I checked the page a four other computers and the pages all work fine.

Very nice animations. I guess I'm not far enough along to need stuff that fancy  I suppose I'll have to learn masking some day. But for now, there's plenty of other stuff still waiting to be learned. Plus, the whole reason I got interested is I've got some stories I want to tell, so I want to ...

Hey Vern, I went through some more masking tutorials and I think I sort of get it. But you know what? I can't think of a single situation where it wouldn't just be easier to build the mask as a separate vector layer and not even use the built-in masking. At least that way it shows correctly in previ...
