I know I'd feel safer if the format was Quicktime .mp4 files. They are small, look great and can easily be created on both platforms without the need to download anything extra as far as I know. It's the same format a used here: http://www.studioartfx.com/webpage6/anime001.html The format seems popu...

Man, that was too funny! The voices of the father and the goth rock son were perfect. Great writing too. If I had one complaint, I would say that on the internet, long opening credits is really a bad idea. People will most certainly click away if they are not watching without a recommendation like f...

Wow. This is really cool. It'll be a LOT of fun! One note: 720x480 is an odd pixel aspect ratio for the computer(meant for NTSC video) and the images will appear stretched a bit. Yes. I am the same Terrence. And I did do quite a bit of 3D cel shading in Lightwave. Still have 3D cel shading plans as well. But your tests do exhibit the very problem every cel shader encounters whether its a guy like me using Lightwave or a huge budget theatrical production like Appleseed. That'...

16:9 yes. The extra resolution of HD, most definitely, but 10 bit color? They won't see it. There's a great article on Cinematech about just how much do you really see with that brand new HDTV. The conclusion was basically that unless you have 100 foot screen and one of the super expensive digital p...

It will give you both, but especially on the banding issue. The dynamic range is so great that something that appears black to our eyes may have fully detailed image data in that dark area. When you color correct you can bring tha detail out. The same with blown out white images like a chandelier, m...
