If you do a lot of character-based animation, though, AS is much quicker in the long run. It takes time to set up and rig the characters, but once you've done that, the animation part is a lot quicker and more flexible. AS also has things like a pseudo-3D space to put work in, particles and so on. ...

I just got Anime Studio Pro about four hours ago and just finished going through all the tutorials. I must say I am very very impressed. Definitely not what I expected and I hope to really explore what I can do with this software in the next few days.

I think its going to be a lot of fun.
