"Quick and dirty" satellite dish ad

"Quick and dirty" is what they asked for, so don't expect too much from this.

So flattening the image on a solid color doesn't necessarily work for me. Could you explain a bit more on how you go about premultiplying your images? If you're asking me, unfortunately that's all I do, flatten my image onto a solid colour that matches the outline of my characters, or use the afore...

Holy crap! You're right, it's not being saved properly out of Photoshop in the recent versions! I've been using Photoshop 5.5 forever, and it works in that version, but not in the modern ones. I can't help on that matter, then.

p6r stated originally his books are meant for kids to do fun drawing, though the techniques are also useful for adults. The Murdock book you mention seems to be intended as one of those thick, dense books like The Photoshop Bible (judging from the other books in the author's list), meant for power u...

Yeah, as far as the "American" thing goes, I'm one of the people who is aware of the linguistic problem and makes an effort to specify "US" as opposed to the entire continents of North and South America. The main problem is that English doesn't have any convenient appellation for...

It's a great shaded look. Did you end up using masking? The video doesn't seem to have the fuzzy edge anymore, but the .anme file still has it when I render.

And now that song is stuck in my head...

I always premultiply everything when I need to composite with an alpha channel. Usually, I'm premultiplying to black to match the black outlines of my characters, but for a file like this, where it's all a single colour, I just fill the entire main channel with the desired colour, and rely on the al...

If the chicken is encased in its own bone layer, then the bones of the character will not distort it, though depending on how you bind the bone layer, it will (and should) move it. Assuming you bind the chicken's bone layer to one of the hands, then it'll move with that hand, but the drawing of the ...

Hey- I didn't read everything here but a problem I always had in Vegas was interpolation. Vegas automatically interpolates everything- to turn it off you have to right click the video in the timeline, click "switches", and then disable resampling. Is that the same thing Premiere does by d...

I found it here. But those old books have been reprinted as collections as well. The originals are very large and thin books, like the old Preston Blair books, but I also have a thick, smaller paperback that collects all of Preston Blair's books into one volume. One like that might also exist for Lo...

Audacity is free, not a trial.

There may be some keyframes hidden from your view. The timeline by default hides some kinds of keyframes. Try clicking the Settings button on the timeline and showing all channels.

Also, it only shows keyframes for whatever layer is currently selected.

I don't understand your question. You can copy any single frame's bone movement back to frame 0, yes, but not an entire animation.
