Ha, that didn't even occur to me. Okay, but yeah, you know what I meant. Something like Annie Hall or whatever.

I guess my concern is that when people I know tell me they went to see these films and they were "incredible", do they just mean they were dazzled by the visual wizardry, or would they have actually liked it if it was done in some low budget (or uh, no budget, heh) manner? What if you went...

3D animation is now what the drum machine was in the 1980s. It's the hot new toy, so everyone wants to use it, giving the false impression that 2D animation (real drums) will never be used again. But that levels out once the novelty wears off. It's just that the novelty wears off more quickly for so...

Do a search on "potrace" (great for b&w, free), "Autotrace" (decent for color, free), "Delineate" (front end for previous two). If you have Flash, that can do it as well. Personally, I've had some difficulties getting the EPS files produced by potrace to work, and M...

The key issue is not what tool you use to select the points/curves, it's that all of them are in fact selected, including the inner ones that constitute your "holes".

I put so much energy into maintaining my presence on this forum that I barely have time for the nonsense of making cartoons (said in the tone of John Cleese saying "Judean People's Front ... *raspberry*").

That's my excuse.

The reason stereotypes exist is because humans need to classify and categorize things. It stems from an innocent survival skill, but warps into something ugly and hateful when we don't question and review our own natural biases. Really bad, hateful stereotyping is something that needs to be fostered...

I noticed the line also looks thinner if you draw the object larger and then scale the layer smaller.

First off, nobody is offended by gay stereotypes, especially not gays. At least none of the gays I know. If you really wanted people to be offended, you need a black character modeled after a 1930s cartoon - missing teeth, watermelon, etc.. (I find those to be intriguing in a historical sense, and a...

Right, I got what was going on with the gay guy's personal universe. I can't think exactly how I would have done it differently, to still make that point while looking more continuous overall. Maybe every time his music ends, I'd give it a fast slow-down effect like someone's stopping a record with ...

I would assume Banterfield is right. Incidentally, Reindert, yours approached a "pro" look, in my opinion; my biggest criticism of it, if you don't mind me getting constructively nitpicky here ... AND IF YOU DO MIND, JUST STOP READING NOW ... would be the soundtrack. I would have made the ...

Have you used it successfully with Moho, though? I posted here a little while ago about how I was having trouble importing the EPS files.
