Re: Any chance of a UI overhaul?

I'd also like to add that I've always found the Styles panel a bit counterintuitive. I agree, Styles isn't completely intuitive at first, but it's really not bad once you get the hang of it. FWIW, with all the excitement about Moho's return, I'm back to making 'explainer' videos for using the progr...

Re: Any chance of a UI overhaul?

I remember when I first started with Moho and I actually rage quit. Technically, I 'started' way back with version 1.0. Moho's novel animation concepts intrigued me, but in practice, version 1.0 just didn't cut it for my work. But I still felt Moho was promising enough that I upgraded to almost eve...

Re: Any chance of a UI overhaul?

That's my problem with the sequencer, each and every time! Should be possible to add a numerical input, and a feedback during dragging showing me the frame offset I'm creating. (Every video editor has this when I shorten clip lengths.) Exactly! I use Sequencer this way all the time, and it makes me...

Re: Are the new owners Crooked or merely Incompetent?

I had switched back to using Moho 12.5 a while back, so I hadn't noticed if Moho 13 stopped working on my computer. FWIW, I just now launched Moho 13 and it's still running fine. Of course, I haven't tried activating Moho 13 on a new computer but, if the Smith Micro server has shut down, it hasn't a...

Re: SZ Mark Points

This is brilliant Stan!

I've been using it Epic Pen to mark point positions, but that result is only valid until I move the workspace view. I think your method will work much better for me.

Thanks for creating and sharing this script. Downloading and installing now!

Re: Any chance of a UI overhaul?

...the negative keyframe area just in case anyone has ventured into that "hidden territory", I would LOVE to see moho have a "design" mode that is separate from an "animate" mode but for now, I can live with it) Good point! Yeah, I wish I could slide the timeline to re...

Re: Are the new owners Crooked or merely Incompetent?

Worse still, the link you gave had a warning/caveat: requires a current installation. Go here: https://my.smithmicro.com/forum.html Click on the Moho 12/Anime Studio header, download your version of ASP/Moho, install and activate it as normal. All that's required is your serial number, and you shou...

Re: Possible to script?

Oh, yeah, I just remembered another reason why I moved away from using a Bone Dial to animate Switches: you can't use Interpolate Sub-Layers with a Smart bone because the animation isn't really non-linear this way. However, Interpolate Sub-layers works perfectly fine when using the Switch Selection ...

Re: Possible to script?

That said, Troy, yeah, it would be neat to have a script that would keyframe every drawing in a switch layer and set up the Smart Bone Dial for you automatically. :)

Re: Possible to script?

Do you mean keyframing all the hand poses within the Action? Yeah, that can be tedious. When I was doing development work for Harvey Street Kids , I tried to create a 'standardized' rig that could be repurposed for each character, and one of the features was a hand setup that had something like 50 d...

Re: Share your Moho workflow!

Thanks for sharing your workflow! It's always interesting and educational to hear how people work and use their software. My workflow for personal projects isn't that different from what you described... Pre-production Develop concept, sketches and designs, write the script and make a storyboard. Af...

Re: Any chance of a UI overhaul?

I'll probably get a lot of resistance from veterans posting this, but I think the Moho UI is extremely unintuitive to work with. Good topic! While I'd hardly call Moho's UI "unintuitive", I agree that it can use improvements. (But then, what program can't be improved?) :) For the type of ...

Re: Moho won’t work properly on Big Sur.

My assumption is that Mike has only had access to the Moho 13 code for 10 days or so. I doubt even he knows yet.

Give it time. :)
