I like the character and the colours. Two things will make it better: 1) The 3rd view: I would suggest to give the hair of the character more volume on the front, i.e. it has to go in a curve forward of the character and then to the back, instead of straight to the back. 2) To solve that weird look ...

I did some testing and figured out why this happens. When I move the head with the Translate Layer tool to move it on the body (body is mirrored, head not, that's why they are each on opposite sites on the screen), the Depth of Field thinks the head is *away* from the body, even though I'm moving it...

One item in folder affected differently by depth of field

I have a figure on '0' on the Z axle. I have depth of field enabled in the project settings. The figure is sharp, the background (which is on -0.2 and more) has a blur, as it should be. But when I use camera movement (right/left/zoom), the head of the figure, which is in a folder, is blurred, even t...

Play around current frame

Being a big fan of Final Cut, I miss some short cuts in AS. It would be great to have 'Play around current frame', in Final Cut done with / . For people who don't know this function: by pressing / (slash), the playhead will jump about a second forward from where the playhead is at that moment, play ...

Wasn't aware of this obvious fact, so thanks for that. Still I woul like to have those keys as short cut for the workflow. I prefer keys over mouse clicks.

Image texture in 3D

While searching for the best way of depicting a village scene, I tried some things with 3D in ASP. The front of the house is a texture in a vector shape. If you watch the way the front of the house is rendered, you see there is something not going well. The lines are broken up by two diagonal lines....

Short cut for resizing the magnet tool

Being a Photoshop user, the magnet tool makes me pushing the brackets [ & ] to resize the magnet. But unfortunately, I don't see any short cut available for resizing. It would be great if the [ and ] would be allocated to the Magnet tool, so you can pull and push your object to shape quickly, wi...

If you would be able to set this, which I think could just be a setting in the Project Settings, I would indeed use this function if I could change it to fives as well. I like the idea, it's also more "metric".

Animation opening sequence

With the help of the forum, I was able to figure out a technique and I with use of the manual I learned a lot when I was making this opening sequence for a fellow animator. As usual, this didn't make any money, but I really enjoyed making it and surprised me once again of the power of ASP. Music is ...

You upload it here. fx: http://tinypic.com/ and share the link here, or embed it with the Img button. Why don't you subscribe to Dropbox? Its' free for the first 2GB and it's very easy. You drop the image in your Dropbox->Public folder, right-click on the file and copy the link. The link you past he...
