Re: Hair in front of and behind body?

I took everything out of folders. Then I was able to bind points. I got things working sort of okay, but lots of work to be done yet. I was setting up some smart bone actions, but I had difficulty with it. I had her bend her knee up, and I moved points around til it looked correct. But then if I kic...

Re: Hair in front of and behind body?

You need to bind all the layers. So, the head layer and the two hair layers (near and far,) should probably all be bound to the Head bone. Not sure how you're binding the layers but Layer Binding is the most straightforward. The hair is all on one layer currently. I'll have to try some different th...

Re: Hair in front of and behind body?

If you're not using bones for the individual head elements, you could also drop every head layer in a group and Layer Bind the group. Thanks! I am trying to re-learn how to do all this. I had already put some things into groups, but it looks like that is preventing things inside that group from bei...

Hair in front of and behind body?

It's been awhile since I created my last character, and I've forgotten how to do things. I'm using Anime Studio Pro 9 I am working on a character now who has part of her hair in front of her body, and part of it behind her body. The way I have it now, her hair isn't parented to her head or vice vers...

Re: New commercial, first draft

Here is the latest version. I fixed a bunch of things. Made the character less affluent, at beginning and end, removed url from tablet screen, and improved poof of smoke at the end. Also shifted address and phone number to fit within title safe margins, and re-arranged graphics on delivery truck, al...

Re: New commercial, first draft

It's a TV ad, for cable. Right now, I'm waiting on the store owner to return home. He's out of state right now. I need his approval. I've been working with another guy who doesn't have final approval authority. So, maybe next week.

Re: Create and assign styles?

I looked at some video tutorials. Even that didn't make it crystal clear, but I was able to figure it out. At first I was trying to apply a style by picking it from the drop down menu at the top, which of course does nothing, and deselects the shape I was working on. I realized I was doing it wrong....

Re: Create and assign styles?

I have no problem setting colors for shapes, but the idea behind styles, correct me if I'm wrong, is that I could set up for instance, Skin Color 1 as a style and assign that to a number of characters. Then later, if all those characters need to have a different color skin, I could make changes to t...

Re: New commercial, first draft

By 'floating' I mean her right thigh bone and left upper arm bone start to drift to a different position before she reacts to the stove flaring up. If your animation starts at frame one then create a Manipulate Bone key for the right thigh bone on frame one. Copy and paste that key to the frame whe...

Re: New commercial, first draft

I have read this topic a few times and have not said anything hoping someone else would. To me the back ground(not saying it is bad) just does not go with this character. I would rather see you make the back ground in AS. Or maybe add some color to the back ground in that program you used. Just my ...

Re: New commercial, first draft

SpaceBoy64, It looks like it'll be a successful video! The thing I noticed in the first four seconds was that the left arm and the right leg are floating. Please let us know how it turns out! Could you explain "floating" to me? I could understand levitating would be bad, but her arm? Do y...
