Re: Exporting settings - Compression Question

Yes I always have a folder for each shot and render out to .png image files to that folder. The other advantage of rendering out image files is that should you get any kind of crash at some point (say frame 52) then you can just start rendering again from that point (start at frame 53) and you haven...

Re: Why would anyone choose to use Animate Pro?

No, it's neither hateful nor bullying or anything to do with being mad about a piece of software. I can't speak for Synthsin75 of course but I know personally that if what I thought was a better piece of software came along tomorrow I'd swap immediately. It's just annoying that we've now had two peo...

Re: Why would anyone choose to use Animate Pro?

I agreed with you that there are some things that TB does better such as frame by frame as AS is not designed for that. You must admit it's very odd that someone's very first post here would be basically saying that TB is superior. Have you used AS? I asked you what feature that TB has that causes y...

Re: Why would anyone choose to use Animate Pro?

I must admit, when I saw your original post was your very first on this forum I assumed, as did Synthsin75, that you must be some sort of promoter for Toon Boom. I would guess that you've never used Anime Studio. I have used TB on the other hand. I once did a training course on using TB and, having ...

Re: Why would anyone choose to use Animate Pro?

It is NOT the software that determines whether your characters/animation will be of a quality that can be enjoyed by others but your talent and ability. Toon Boom and Anime Studio are totally different pieces of software. I've used both and I would choose Anime Studio (almost) every time. If I was g...

Re: Animation Paper for Mac

Ah, the reasons you give for developing the Mac version first make sense. Maybe you could have given the opportunity for both windows and Mac people to pledge for a full version. Whichever ended with most pledges would receive their version first. That way Mac and Windows people would be competing a...

Re: Animation Paper for Mac

It looks great and I have supported it with the Windows Ticket. I can't help thinking you would have had much greater success had you done the Windows version first and based the campaign around that. It is early days yet though of course :D

Re: 4K resolution in cartoons

A friend of mine sells Film, DVD and BluRay etc. He tells me he still sells 30 times as many DVD's as BluRays. The market for BluRay is fairly small still so I doubt rushing to embrace 4K is high on many people's priorities. You would need a huge TV to see any difference between BluRay and 4K. 2D an...

Re: Eve of October: My biggest Fan

Very sorry to hear that you lost a good friend. I do know the feeling as I've lost two in recent years. Even now, just for a split second, I think I will email Kevan some animation for him to critique then remember he's not there. Your friend knew you cared and it's good that he knew you for the yea...

I liked the video. It creates a world that feels quite disturbing. There are a lot of strong images there and it fits the music so I think it was a success :D

Re: Just Upgraded!

I haven't had much time lately to look through posts here but I've just caught up a bit and I have to say this Markster guy is one of the most annoying people I've seen post on this forum in a long time. Talk about continuously contradicting yourself! :D
