Animation is pleasing but a little repetitive and mechanical. Gotta say your draftmanship is really clean. Good work!

Excellent suggestion, slowtiger. I took some screen caps of her extremes to study how her brows, eyes, and mouth convey so many, sometimes quirky, expressions. Your point is well taken.

Re: Did cartoonsolutions.com close down?
Too bad, it was great resource. I notice that you can find some of the content on third party sites, but moho compatible files don't seem to be available. Hope it comes back.

Re: Character artist getting started
I would repeat jahnocli advice about figure drawing since this is an essential foundation for character design. I wouldn’t worry too much about shading or rendering. The emphasis is on how construction lines effectively communicate personality. Books I recommend: Drawn to Life by Walt Stanchfield Th...

Re: Hoping to share an asset Punk Guy 2d figure
I don’t use bitmap method myself, but the images could be have more texture to make the character more interesting. I might also suggest adding bones for the neck, torso, and toes. Still, it's a good example of using Photoshop layers in rig. Thanks for sharing.

Re: FBF and bitmaps
I feel the cut-out method needs to be clarified a bit. Here’s a concise description : Post by Greenlaw » Mon Dec 10, 2018 4:54 pm 'Cut-out style' is, traditionally speaking, where the elements are cut out from paper and animated on a plane. Think Terry Gilliam's kooky animations from Monty Python's ...

Re: Big really hard project looming - planning?
Got it. Couldn't I just mute the camera keys instead of moving them to the end? Yes, of course. The shifting keys method can be used on earlier versions of Moho (Anime Studio). Also, why do I not want camera movements when I am animating? When I animate I constantly zoom in and out of the workspace...

Re: Big really hard project looming - planning?
Plan with camera movements, but animate without. (I often set the camera keys first, then shift them after end of scene, then animate characters, and shift back camera keys in the end.) I'm not sure I understand what you mean with this point. Shift them/shift back? This is a simple idea actually. B...

Re: Big really hard project looming - planning?
Having the storyboard and cataloguing your characters’ movements are good ideas, so you won’t waste time building unnecessary features into your rigs. You’ll likely have multiple rigs of the same character for different actions. Looking forward to seeing a work-in-progress or the completed work. Goo...

Re: Need help with Stroke Exposure Tool
This tip from Greenlaw may help: Changing the 'origin' point for Stroke Exposure All you need to do is delete the edge next to whichever point you want to become the new origin for the Stroke Exposure tool. THEN you draw from the open point next to your desired origin and--voila!--you have your new ...
