You can combine 2D and 3D easily. I've chosen not to learn blender yet since I've not yet reached the limits of what ASP can do. I have one example of what can be done with 3D with ASP alone.

Thanks Gilles. The technique was developed by selgin. Jonbo taught me how it was done. I added the colors in ASP, reduced the opacity to 40% and then took a screen shot.
I learned a lot from your masking tutorial so I'll be keeping an eye out for your future tutorials.

I've been experimenting with texture maps with the 3D feature of ASP. I looked at a Pepsi logo and wanted to see if I could make it look like a planet. It needs work but I thought the effect was interesting.

hayasidist, I changed the blending mode of the soft edge highlight to 'luminosity' which made the 'fringe' a lot less noticeable. The problem doesn't show up in the preview so I just made a 24 frame render.
