Aspiring Artist ~~ still in search of a style
So a few folks on this forum have talked a bit about developing styles and so forth in their work with AS. Personally, I'm still working on developing a unique signiture style of my own and so as an exercise I've gone ahead and copied the style of someone else. And who better than Osamu Tezuka himse...

That's hysterical!!
Well done! And I needed a good laugh this evening too.
I like your stylized drawings and the timing of your effect when Cave Guy "Misunderstands" is ~spot on~.

Thanks very much for the feedback so far. ==== Human ~~ if you feel like taking the time to post your cloth experiment ~~ it'd be great to see. Interesting how you break down the flow... A new character, or, Aspiring Artist in search of a style...
OK ~~ So I think I've finally come to grips with the whole drawing in vector graphics thing. So now I'm at a point were I'd like to develop a style and actually try to create real stuff. Toward that end, here's a simple character design. http://www2.bc.edu/~nagelh/exploring.animation/images/TheChang...

Guess who stayed up late watching old road runner 'toons.
So as I get deeper into AS I started wondering about how well the vector graphics and bones approach to animation lends itself to creating cartoon physics type effects of the sort we used to get with looney toons etc. So I whipped up a little doodle to explore and it came out thus... http://www2.bc....

Thanks for the feedback
Thanks folks, for your feedback. First ~~ it's good to know from experienced folks rough, reasonable time estimates on work. I have a tendency to get immersed in stuff so that when I come up for air I find huge chunks of time have evaporated ~~ a sort of "rip van winkle" effect. So it's go...

Nice Job
Well done P6r. Certainly, one of the things AS nees is supporting material ~~ stuff to get folks (such as myself) up and running with AS quick. My son (age 12) is also an AS user (and fan) so the idea of a kids book for this is great. And that of course is precisely when to get young artists started...

Yup!
Yeah ~~ full body animation for humanoids is hard! There are very many degrees of freedom to contend with ~~ especially with a character as detailed and complex as yours. Now as to your question; "is it all worth it"? Well ~~ I can't tell you anything as an expert (obviously ~~ I'm not!) B...

Character Animation Experiments
So, I've had some ideas for fantasy~style stories that I'd like, some day, to turn into a sort of graphic novel or animated story. Toward that end I've gotten into Anime studio and I've been experimenting with character design and animation. Here's an example of my latest experiment. http://www2.bc....
