Everyone has had more sex than me

No, I'm not complaining (although more would be nice...), it's the title of a terrific Flash-animated promo that shows what can be suggested with just a little movement. It looks more full than it actually is - a triumph of economy and style.

In the 2nd part of your animation, the hair is still lovely, but I think the nose should not move with the mouth. The nose is fixed in the face, and does not move around. I suppose you must have already noticed the mouth problems (where the colours jerk around). This must be something to do with the...

Very lovely. Great animation of the hair and the mouth. There's always a beautiful subtlety in your work - lots of little details in the movement. For us non-Chinese, the download instructions may need clarifying: Download both files, then rename the second one (72373212.rar) as 81623836.rar You nee...

DK has pinpointed the essential stage of any film- after the script comes the storyboard. Don't start building whole cities in 3D until you have planned the film as a storyboard first. You will waste energy on buildings that are never seen in close up, and maybe not at all. I like to print out the s...

Since there's been a fair bit of discussion on this forum on the subject of storyboarding, I thought some might be interested to see the animatic of this piece, so I've uploaded it to bupaje's webspace: http://barrybaker.stormvisions.com/HSLesson3-animatic.mov I drew all the frames on paper, scanned...

Which brings up another question. What resolution was your final output? The first image you posted was HUGE! Are you working in HD? It's actually PAL widescreen, 1024 X 576. That's the resolution we work at. For the final output, the frames are taken in squashed to normal PAL resolution (720 X 576...

Just a general word to all of you who have been giving such positive feedback. Thanks very much, I'm very happy to have received so much comment about the job, and I'm pleased it seems to be so well regarded. I do think that Moho has come of age as a serious production tool, and much of the recent w...

Thanks for the still! Just like I suspected, even better in person! Is there an outline on just the forearm? I'm grappling with the idea of outlining a character or not. Aesthetically, I could go either way. Outlining adds another dimension to keep track of while you work. Without outlining though ...

agentdurden, :) I'm not mad at all, in fact I'm grateful. I hope it doesn't get you into trouble with your web-host like I did...

I'd like to upload a higher resolution version somewhere too, but I can't see any possibility of that until I solve the bandwidth problem.

250Mb gives you a bit less than 18 downloads if your file is 14 Mb, less if there is other traffic. Surprising how small 250Mb sounds when you look at it like that. What is weird is that Plusnet doesn't simply allow for the extra bandwith and charge you extra for it. There are some really nice desi...

Hi bupaje, Thanks for your generous offer; I'd like to take you up on it, just a temporay measure, as you say. The hosting you linked to looks like good value, but I've just got too many bills this month to feel like adding a new subscription to them. In the meantime, Plusnet have reinstated my webs...

You mentioned that it took 4 weeks (tight time line!); how many people besides yourself were required to finish this piece in this aggressive a deadline? Again, great work Barry. Rob Actually, I just looked at the dates on the files again, and it must have been more like 5 weeks, including 3 weeken...

If you can handle the bandwidth -or can get someone to host it who can- post a link at the appropriate forum at cgtalk.com. The few items I have posted over the years always generate a huge amount of hits when I included my links for at least a day -longer if people ask questions keeping the thread...
