Well, that should put an end to the disussion. Just out of curiosity, what are you using to develop the interface?

Re: lill' beta 4 bugs and my first impressions

So, are you asking for a window that, when the Translate Layer tool is active, allows you to adjust the layer shadow? I know they're both properties of a layer, but that sounds weird to me. I can understand why you might want the old Info window back, but mixing layer compositing with layer transla...

Re: lill' beta 4 bugs and my first impressions

Fixed. Thanks. I wish I had more time to put some real pressure on Moho. The Layer Settings window mostly contains layer compositing effects (blur, opacity, shadow, motion blur, blending mode. Yes, there are a lot of options in that window, but I don't see them as being inconsistent with one anothe...

lill' beta 4 bugs and my first impressions

I don't have much time to play around with release 5, so no lenghty bug reports. These area few very minor ones I found after half an hour playing around. I'm on OS X 10.3.5 First select a path, pick the move tool, now try to deselect the path by tapping the return button, it wont work. Move the pat...

Oh wait, you mean you read it a few years ago, but it was from ... I'm assuming ... farther back? ...Dave communicates with the dead. Anyway, I got that Disney-link from CGTalk where a lot of 3D people are hanging around. It's very interesting to see how they reacted to that link. There was a lot o...

Believe or not:Disney

I can't believe I'm posting a link to a Disney project, but this looks rather interesting, stills only though, to see the animation you'll have to buy the "Home on the Range" DVD: http://www.animated-news.com/archives/00002259.html Will animation go full circle? After the whole onslaught o...

I love the floating windows. To me, they make the Moho 5 interface feel so much more free and dynamic than Moho 4. Plus, since I'm a Mac user, I'm used to playing with multiple floating windows. The single window of Moho 4 just felt weird. I reckon which interface you prefer depends on what operati...

Actually, the separate windows are quite a bit more work. It seemed to be a popular feature request during the 4.x series, but now I get the feeling people don't like it too much. Ah, well... Weird, I don't remember seeing a lot of these requests in the Yahoo forums I suppose it's better for people...

Brush spacing percentage

Moho 5 is looking good. I'm not too keen on the separate windows, but I assume it makes Lost Marbles life a bit easier. I love the brush-lines feature, one thing though, and maybe I should be posting this in the feature requests. The brush spacing doesn't change with the line-thickness. When I set t...

Re: Traditional Animation in moho??

the cat example in the moho gallery looks like its traditional, but then it could be just as easy to fake. Anyone know how to do it?? =S Not too sure what moho 5 can do in terms of drawing frame by frame, but 4.6 can't do it in a straight-forward way. The only thing traditional about the cat animat...

There is no way in Moho to manipulate those handles. In Moho, the bezier control handles are adjusted automatically based on surrounding points. Although some people really miss those control handles, we find that when you get to the animation stage, it's easier not to have the extra control points...

While you're at it, no shame in learning from the "big boys": After Effects does this and it works a treat, on top of that, when holding down the shift key it multiplies the value changes with 10, when holding down the CTRL/Command key the value changes are 10 times less. Heh, heh. We act...

What about this: if you click on a text field with the right mouse button and drag side-to-side, it will increase or decrease the value in the field. Kind of like using the scroll wheel, but with a right-drag instead. My pen has a little button that lets me easily right-click, so it seems like it w...

So what is the advantage of using a bitmap gradient that you mask as opposed to a vector gradient that you mask?

Just like with the bitmap, you can reposition, scale and rotate the vector gradient seperate from the mask.

Until you can reposition gradients directly in Moho, you can try to fake it with masking. It's a bit cumbersome, but better than nothing.
