The general concept of keyframes is this: you create a key at the start of a movement (and set an interpolation, if necessary) and a key at the end of a movement. Otherwise Moho couldn't guess from where in time you want the movemen to start.

Easiest way to do this: duplicate the layer in question. One stays bound to the rig, the other is free. Switch visibility where needed.

I can't imagine what the goal of that would be. And there's no functionality to do that, anyway. You can: - convert a group layer into a switch layer, but not the other way. This makes all layers inside but one invisible. You could: - create a new group layer and put the contents of the switch layer...

For tracing just import a bitmap.

Setting bone strength to 0 seems to be the wrong way, since textures will follow bones like the shape they are in. It's hard to see from the screenshot which element is the texture. There are more ways to deal with it: - set the texture to tiling - put the texture outside the shappe, let shape mask ...

I found that I need a large size so I bought a cintiq.

I only know Wacom from experience and highly recommend them.

Many of us use a tablet and a pen, especially when creating their assets directly in Moho. A mouse is good for the delicate work of selecting single points and stuff. It al depends oon your personal preferences. Use what you feel comfortable with.
