Sounds like another good reason, Mik. I got that render done with no probs. I changed the copy's icon so I wouldn't get them mixed up.

Yes, thank you. I'm positive. To test that, I put something different on frame 0 [a color-change]. I'm exporting to QT, and I don't have "extra SWF frame" checked. It seems [though I'm still not sure] that I must render frame 0 in order to get the soundtrack to be rendered in QT. I don't *...

Trying that now with Anime Studio Pro to see if I can get a file re-rendered while the rest of the batch cooks along. That file rendered without audio, so I copied the ASP .app file, pasted it, started it, went to batch export, and started it going.

It's happening to me, now, too, and I don't see why. I've tried rendering from 0, instead of from frame 1, and I've tried rendering uncompressed. What the heck? I can combine with audio in Final Cut, but it sure is inconvenient, extremely, not to be able to hear my audio from a QuickTime render, bec...

I think this is happening because the batch exporter does not apply the settings displayed to each file in the batch.

I see part of the problem with batch rendering is that the batch renderer is not applying the same options to each file in the list. Only the first one was rendering with NTSC safe colors enabled, for example. I must highlight each file I dropped into the batch, and change each file's options. Seems...

I'm gradually learning to track down mistaken keyframes and not to repeat those mistakes. I'm moving from one file to the next, every 33 seconds or so, by using Save As, etc., as detailed above, but I've learned not to let any keyframes remain from the previous copy. Any keyframe hanging out in spac...

In practice, I find it's not that simple… I hope I am learning as I go. It seems every render has something new and different that didn't copy from one file to the next. Wow, there are a lot of details to keep track of.

It looks like the answer to my question is that Batch Export will only export the range of frames specified in Project Settings for each file.... except that it seems to be rendering frame zero, too. That is, it rendered frame zero for every file but the first one in the batch list. Not a big prob a...

Batch export files with different frame counts?

I've worked on 3 different ASP files today, and want to batch render them now. The Batch Export window asks for a start frame and end frame... but each of these ASP files is a different length. What should I put there? For now, I'll try putting in a number high enough to include each file's frames.....

Ah, so frame 0 is left untouched. Thanks!

But you feel I should back up my file before doing this? Not a bad idea. Thanks for that, too.

Now that I'm doing this, I realize one tiny prob still crops up... and I should ask, in case it's already in there and I don't know: After I open the previous scene, and use Copy Current Frame, I still have a lot of extraneous animation to delete. The only way I see to do it is highlight every layer...
