You cannot add new bones except on frame 0, but you can certainly animate those bones on any future frames without having any drawing attached to be distorted by the bones, so I would say the answer to your last question is yes.

I use a layer script called fa_meshinstance.lua to clone the point movement of another layer. I use this for masked eyes, where the controlled layer contains the black filled parts that should go over the mask area. Is that what you mean?

Yeah, it's the lights that cost the most money in a green screen setup -- the green has to be well-illuminated, or it'll be hard to key out. I worked at a media house once and I was given the most ineptly-produced footage to blue screen into a 3D background. The blue was poorly illuminated, resultin...

It strikes me in the same way as that famous Arnold Schwatzeneggar line, "I want to ask you a bunch of questions, and I want to have them answered immediately!"

I moved all the original LM tools that I wasn't using into the "utility" folder, so it would still be found by the code that checks for it, but it won't show up on the tools palette.

Heh, I never said Anime Studio was almighty Odin, but I could definitely see it as Thor, or perhaps Loki. Perhaps the next version will be Odin.

Not exactly, I wanted the ability to press a key, not click in a window. Such as a button on the tool palette that I could give a hotkey. I didn't know the tip you mentioned though, so thank you, but I don't even have the original LM translate tool installed anymore.

I like outlines, myself. I tend to like bold black outlines, and use them generally in my work, but of the three versions you posted, I think the last one looks the best.

I just saw this thread today, and this rig is very interesting. Good work.

Perhaps Muuvist's technique for his flying carpet will serve your purpose. His sample looks like a turning page, and you can use a bitmap image in place of the vector art if you want a texture or words on a page.

Heh, I had just checked that dropdown list the day before yesterday, and there was no Anime Studio in there, but when you mentioned it was added yesterday I went and saw it there. And now it's gone again today, as you said.

Yes, but I wouldn't recommend it. For backgrounds, fine, but not for characters. The importing of Flash resources is more trouble than it's worth. Easier just to re-trace it all in AS, with the import capabilities AS has currently.

I'm a former Flash user. Flash was the holy grail I had been looking for back when version 6 was the newest version (and when they started using letters instead of version numbers). It served me well for many years, but as version after version came out with no new features that would benefit charac...

I was hoping this thread would have a keyboard shortcut for, for instance, adding a keyframe for all/selected points on a vector layer. I have a tool for adding a keyframe for bones, but not for points, and definitely not for selected points. I figure I could make one for the "all points" ...

My understanding of Manga Studio it's a sort of specialised Photoshop-sort of program that eases certain tedious tasks that are specific to comics, especially black-and-white comics, such as screen tones (the dot patterns used to make grey tones in printed reproduction) or other comic effects such a...
