Perhaps another workaround I could do would be to temporarily move my switch layers out of the hierarchy, then use the non-global tools only, for a layer and its children. But this also has a problem that hadn't occurred to me before, that I use bones on my mouth layers for movement in addition to t...

Okay, after an experiment, I'm wondering if there's a way to exempt specific layers from being affected by the scripts. The reason being that when I want to adjust the timing of the actions, I almost never want to affect the mouth switch layers, because the lip sync would be messed up. Additionally,...

This looks like exactly what I've been wanting for adjusting the timeline, with a brilliant implementation, and I'm glad to see it will work on 5.6!. I'll be experimenting with this on AS5.6 today, and report on my experience. Thank you very much!

Do you mean with having control bones? (and I see angle contraints are another bone benefit) That's another way of controlling it, but I just meant you can have a parent bone and a child bone controlling 2 images -- move the parent, you move both in the same way. Move the child separately, and it m...

With bones, all the layer movements can be keyframes on a single bone layer's timeline, instead of separate timelines for each layer. This may be a pro or a con depending on what you want to do. Image layers don't have to warp the images if you choose to turn off "warp with bones" for thos...

Thank you. Yes, I'm almost done with a commercial. I'll post it in a new thread by next week, I think.

Parts 1 and 3 are here, but I thought part 2 was the best of them. :)

I, too, am very interested in a comprehensive list of the differences between 5.6 and 6. This list doesn't really address the things I'd be looking for. I would like lists of new features, changed features (with detail on how they compare), and removed features. Also tips on how to cope with the rem...

If this is still open, I submit these two of mine: Daydream: The master and his cat clean the kitchen How not to pass through airport security (Click the Quicktime icon if the Flash version isn't working) These were animated entirely in Anime Studio 5 (the backgrounds and raster art like the cleanin...

I would love to have the ability to turn off keyframe generation for various channels, primarily because I often use the "Copy current frame" option under the animation menu, and it's essentially an all-or-nothing deal. Although it has checkboxes for selecting various channels, it doesn't ...

The comic one took about a month to complete. I think some of the extreme camera moves were due to the difference between the locked camera aspect ratio and the comic panels which all varied in height and width. This is why I did it in 4:3 instead of 16:9 this time, because some of the very tall ski...

2008 Drowtales animation, "moving comic book" styl

Okay, been a while since I posted anything. I was sort of disinclined to post this one since it's so different from my usual animation, but what the hell, I did use Anime Studio after all, and some of you might find it interesting. If you've seen the extras on the "I Am Legend" DVD, you've...

Still haven't had trouble with my Vista machine... Everything still works, and after I disabled all the unnecessary eye-candy it's faster than my XP machine. I've used almost every version of Windows since Windows 3.1, including Win95, 98, 98SE, Me, 2000, XP Home, XP Pro, and now Vista Home Premium,...

@funksmaname I guess the gestures? I used Preston Blair hands in switch layers, and basically just used broad gestures and in one case moving the hand offscreen to mask the transitions. :) @rplate The voice irritated me, too...I made some suggestions about it, but in the end it just had to be done a...
