Making a layer darker with masking

I wanted to make one item darker, but not transparent. Dim the colours, like a house in the dark. I did this by masking a black square with the house in a folder, so the house becomes a black item and on top of that, outside that folder, the same house with 75% transparency. Can it not be done with ...

Not really here. Running 10.7.3 with ASP 8.2. Maybe you've installed some other tools or prefpanes that are conflicting.

If I understand this correctly, Python is part of the Mac OS operating system, but is not up to date? If you download the latest version of Python and install that, you should be able to run Papagayo again in Lion?

Is it then (or could it not be) not part of the latest OS update 10.7.3?

Indeed, that solved it. I don't understand why it would scale then, as I would think that "immune to camera movement" should do the trick. What does "rotate to face camera" do?

Thanks for the quick solution!

Immune to camera movement

I've been playing with the camera movement and there is one thing I can't figure out. I only used one tool to set the keyframes and that is Camera zoom. The background picture shouldn't change with any camera movement, that's why I ticked in the layer panel 'Immune to camera movement'. But that work...

I always ask my friends around me. There are so many people making music around one. It's also more fun to have music from someone you know. And they will feel honoured. Then again, if you use it commercially, it would only be fair to pay them. But a video contest is not commercially, I would say. I...

@Jahnocli: Thanks, that works! Interesting technique, as this way I suddenly can turn a not-connected-shape, made with Add Point, into a stroke. Cool stuff and solves something that gave me a head ache for years.

Split and fill a shape

I hope I'm not the only one, but I'm always fighting with filling a shape, when I divide it up in more fields. The technique I though works the best is select Select Shape (Q), click on the field (fx a shape made with Add Point and then split in two parts by drawing a line with Add Point straight th...

Same here. I also used Live chat to get an order confirmation and download it. Not that I needed it urgently. Though it crashed several times on me, in the last two weeks, which didn't happy in the past versions.

Pay attention to the hair of the woman continuing with the black line in the background at the end of the animation. It's actually also visible in your screenshot here. I would or move the background, or move the woman a bit, so it doesn't become one long hair.

The rest is looking very good!

Multiple documents open at same time

It's a bit annoying when you need to fx copy colours from one to the other document. You have open one, copy colour, close this doc and open other document and then you can paste. So I suggest to enable more projects open at the same time in AS. that shouldn't give any problems?
