The character looks great. The only issue I see with it is in the manga preview. It's way to smooth looking for manga. To counter this, look for a halftoning feature in your image editing software. (In Photoshop, it's in filter>sketch>halftone...) Here's your character with a halftoning effect and s...

Bones, a big big thank you for all that info. The Animation Collective seems like a very unusual studio. I'll e-mail them and post updates if anything happens. Also thanks for linking that Moho toon. Was that intended for kids? Hard to believe that was on Nickelodeon. I expected orange juice and go...

If you think that's great, check out the "Psyop Anthem" under the "Propoganda" section. It's been one of the most popular clips from them since the 2005 Nicktoons Animation Festival. It has amazing production quality combined with an excellent soundtrack. 8)

Ok, I think I may have answered my own question... at least partially. A company called Lexicon has a device called the Omega that sells for about $350 that will accept up to two XLR mics and send the isolated tracks out to a computer via USB. However, I'm not sure if it's possible to use two of the...

Dialogue Recording Audio Hardware

Are there any professional audio experts here who might know of a device that can take input from multiple XLR condenser microphones and convert the audio from each channel out to seperate devices for independent track recordings? I have a few options in mind, but I'd like to avoid the expense of pu...

Do you remember the name of the cartoon that used Moho? I'd love to see it. Oh, I missed this part... I don't recall the title, but the short was themed around dogs. ** Update ** The short was called "Dog Worries" and is in the running as a finalist in the Nicktoons Animation Festival. Th...

@DarthFurby: Shuriken school is a very popular tv show here in the U.K. If that is the show that they are hiring for... Dan :? This is kind of a mixed up thread. The animation studio working on Kappa Mikey is not related in any way to studio working on Shuriken School. I believe Shuriken School and...

Do you remember the name of the cartoon that used Moho? I'd love to see it. Incidentally I live near the studio that produces Kappa Mikey. They're hiring Flash animators and I've been thinking about working for these guys. Is this a popular show? That's fantastic news. I would definitely try to get...

As far as storyboards go, these are fine as they are. But if you decide to start going to animatics, you'll probably need to find a way to fix the camera/artwork positioning or invest in a flatbed scanner. Also, using a guided hole punch with a low-weight paper (probably 8.5 x 11 sheets) should allo...

Well, I'm sure the forum software has IP detection built into it. The problem is determining the method used to create the accounts and spam postings... If it's a zombie bot network doing the spamming, it may be next to impossible to filter it out by IP address without affecting legitimate users con...

I hear, because of the new intel chips, you can install both the Mac OS and Windows, though there's a warning about installing windows because of the security issues Windows has. There is a way to have windows present and running without risking potential viral threats... by breaking the networking...

And speaking of Nickelodeon, their 2006 Nicktoons Animation Festival starts this saturday on the Nicktoons Network. (Any Moho users participating this year?) Day one of the Nicktoons Animation Festival has passed... and it seems Moho was used for (and credited in) one of the animated shorts feature...

HeyVern, That's a pretty clever idea, and I'm kind of kicking myself for not think of that approach to begin with. I think I saw a similar approach a while back, where someone was demonstrating how to make a 2D head move like a 3D object, by using opaque shapes to mask out certain elements as the he...

As for a fade out reflect, the only way I see of doing this internally, is to create a shape in another layer with a black to white gradient and overlay it on top of the original shape with the blending mode set to "screen" in the layer option. Then, place this layer and your reflection sh...

I would try putting the elements you want reflected into a group and duplicated it, then flip the duplicate group layer vertically. After that, translate the layer down until it matches the bottom of the original layer and set the opacity of the layer to 50%. This should create a somewhat convincing...
