Re: Koala cartoon

One thing though; I was really hoping for more animation and art advice than writing. Like what Lumpy said about blurring the background to produce a depth of field look. That helps. I consider writing and comedy more subjective...and, that's not a way of me saying that my cartoon isn't a huge pile...

Re: Koala cartoon

p.s. Hope you have a thick skin and don't get too upset. I have seen entire movies that were way worse than this. And it's not even close to as bad as "Scabbiebabies". ;) LOL. Yeah, you may want to view that as a guide on how not to behave in the face of general criticism. You need to est...

Re: Economy Man 2 (first five minutes)

It'll never please a mainstream audience, but that should not be a surprise to you. Films made with AS often look a bit too clean and controlled - you have managed to rough it up and get something very gritty going. I look forward to seeing what comes next. Mainstream audience also enjoys auto-tune...

Re: A Reel of Some Sort

well thing is, the jaw dude (i forgot what I named him) is from the first economy man, and he didn't exactly come out of it in tact. He got turned into a tree by grey people with overbites.

Re: A Reel of Some Sort

At seconds there's a guy with an odd, hinged jaw that reminds me of the guy in Economy Man who gets beaten senseless. He laughs just before that happens and his mouth is also just as exaggerated. He's not the same guy, is he? It's not the same character. In the world of economy man, there are many ...

I should add that my work is extremely dark. Viewer discretion is advised.

Re: Pitching to Nickelodeon and The cartoon network

fair enough. fair enough. Allow me to rectify my terminology by rephrasing my gripe with the character wizard. What I see of it's output isn't aesthetically pleasing to my eyes. I personally believe that there must be an artistic inclination on the animators part if they want to produce something wo...

Re: Pitching to Nickelodeon and The cartoon network

You know, it really wasn't that bad. For what it was. He has too much of a reliance for that character wizard thing there. Personally, I despise that feature and think it's damning to any project looking to be taken seriously. If he put as much effort into the character design and animation in gener...

Re: Eve of October Final episode for OVA2

I've already made this point on your last post, but I'm doing it again with a different degree of words. Anyone who doubts how effective this program truly is need only watch any video you have to offer. The quality is without question. Keep it up sir. Stay strong in your vision.

Re: Pitching to Nickelodeon and The cartoon network

but on a more serious note, What I appear to be seeing here (forgive me if i'm wrong) appears to be a petulant reaction to what is otherwise honest critiques. If you can't handle it, don't ask for it. What you're doing is giving several people who are extraordinarily talented, helpful and knowledgea...

Re: Economy Man 2 (first five minutes)

I appreciate the feedback. The part with the kid on the train was one of my biggest concerns. I used a 10 second shot where he was just sitting there and was wondering if the process of viewing the scene would bore the viewer, I was trying to use the despairing expression along with general ambiance...

Re: Economy Man 2 (first five minutes)

I didn't get the herculoids comparison so I went and youtubed it and a wave of nostalgia rushed through me. Oh my childhood, what has become of me....what am i doing with my life...oh wait, i'm doing this...ha HA!....still don't think i'm on par with it, but thanks anyways. When people tell me that ...

Economy Man 2 (first five minutes)

It's a work in progress. You see, I had a vision....only problem was, it made no sense...but i'm following through with it anyways. Now there isn't an excessive amount of swearing in it (it's in there, but you'll be hard pressed to notice) nor will you find any phallic imagery. What you will get is ...
