Use something similar to photoshop, create a transparent backgroud and export as a png.

AS will read the transparent part of the image as an alpha.

This is what I did to import the couch in this image.

Hello all! Interesting thread in a way. Been testing AS for work and myself, we mostlly do 3D and video/movie montages. To me the drawing tools of AS are adequate for the job it is suposed to do, which, to me at least, is the creation of cartoons. You laydown the curves, turn them into fillings and ...

They stopped piracy but stopped new potential costumers also.
Funny thing is that they did not stop piracy, there are copies out there!

Also, there is a dongle version, which I own that does not need the CD to start.

2d or 3d, that is not the question! I dont agree, 3D is an enormous task, you cannot achieve good results in 3D at the speed you can with 2D, unless you cant draw of course. I have worked professionally with 3DSMax and then XSI, both take a huge undertaking to learn the software alone and requiere ...

There used to be a demo, v7 I think, but they stop hanging those. As for the splines, it is true that they can be cumbersome at times, but you get use to those real fast. As for my work, well, my domain has been down for some time, will get a new ISP as soon as I have time, I have some 2D render stu...

Hello all! First post in here! I have been a Animatiuon Master user for like 15 years, the soft been around for about 17, started on the Amiga. It is a great piece of software, the easiest in many aspects. It shines as a character animation tool, it is rather easy to learn compared to Maya or XSI. S...
