Make Smart Bone Dial Reparenting Bug?
I've noticed that if I create a smart bone dial with "Make smart bone dial" the bone is "unparented". I can understand that the design might have assumed that was a good thing to do, but I believe it's problematic, because reparenting will break actions associated with smart bone...

Re: Smartbones, adjusting points bug?
This is interesting. I'm not sure I'm following the discussion exactly, but it relates to issues I've seen when trying to control points with multiple smart bones. I had the same snapping, but my issue was that I had bound a group layer to a head tilt skeleton bone. However, the interesting thing to...

Re: Help Shape the Future of Anime Studio
I now see my problem. I had bound my head group layer to a head bone (not a smart bone) which, because that blocks nested control, was interfering with my point control after manipulating smart bones. Thanks neeters_guy for the information. I just thought that was the way things worked

Re: problem with filling the shape
I'm just now getting to the point where dealing with complex shapes is easier for me. I had similar problems for a while. The User's guide and tutorials provide helpful information, especially with respect to shapes that share edges. An exact answer would of course depend on the details of the shape...

Re: Bones not visible on vector layer
Yes I do. Ah I just figured it out. I had the head group layer bound to head bone (not a smart bone) as part of the normal skeleton. I checked that after seeing this in the doc. the bone layer can warp the artwork in those vector layers if Allow nested layer control is turned on in the Bones tab of ...

Bones not visible on vector layer
I've done something wonky and cannot figure out how I did it or how to fix it. So any help is much appreciated. I have a vector layer, within a group, within a bone layer. Simple enough. I have a smart bone that I can see on the bone layer and the group layer. Again what I'd expect, but stran...

Re: Help Shape the Future of Anime Studio
... I set all smart bones adjustments relative to frame 0, but when they interact the final results are not quite right and I can't manually move the points, because they're under the control of the smart bones. ... Smart bones do lock out certain keyframes such as switches and layer sorting, but I...

Re: Help Shape the Future of Anime Studio
I've had Anime Studio for about 2 years. I really enjoy it and love the community support. I haven't had a chance to read all 31 pages of this post :o so I'm not sure if this idea has been suggested. I don't know where you are in your development schedule, but I think it would be incredibly helpful ...

Re: Target Constraint: How how do you change direction of IK
Makes a lot of sense. Great character and riggingselgin wrote: It gives you great control, but you actually lose the IK. For legs, for example, the knees are totally independent to any other part of the body, so would only use that for very very specific tasks.

Re: v10 - Knee & Foot Target bone rig
Excellent discussion. heyvern, thanks for posting the video and the rig. I learned a lot from that. For other readers that might be interested in the topic you might also want to know about a thread http://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=26456 that contains a video where Selgin sho...

Re: Target Constraint: How how do you change direction of IK
This is awesome! It's exactly what I was looking for. Selgin, the video was an excellent tutorial. For other readers that might be interested in this topic I also saw the thread where heyvern solves the issue by using an alternative rig. For the rig I was working with, this approach is the one I pre...
