F2 doesnt seem to work on my Mac OS, but maybe there is a shortcut I'm unaware of. In photoshop, double clicking on the layer name allows you to enter a new name and option clicking the new layer button allows you to name it as you create it. Maybe right click (or ctrl click on mac) could be used to...

changing layer name
Is there a way to change the layers name from "layer 1" by just clicking on it, or do you have to double click .. then change from the layer settings dialogue box? If there isnt, I guess I would request a way of naming the layer when creating it, or at least not having to open the layer se...

exporting and importing

video future
What will be replacing interlaced video.. (high definition?) I'm not opposed to other formats if it doesnt involve complete replacement of all my current equipment. Interlaced video is fulfilling what I need right now, but if its possible to plan ahead and stay on a hobbyist budget .. even better!

confused
I thought interlace had to do with how video draws lines onscreen but it seems even more confusing than that! I'm in the process of assembling misc parts that I will eventually put together and render for a video to be shown onscreen off of a minidv tape. In the past I would use standard FCP setting...

interlaced
When I save a photoshop file as a png for import into moho, it asks me if i want interlaced or non. I think I choose non since its the default answer. Does it make a difference which I choose?

clarification..
I think you are saying to make the moho animation.. export to minidv settings no compression quicktime.. and then use fcp the way i usually do and composite the moho animation into it? I'll have to experiment with different settings and try it, but what if I want to take a video I already exported a...

importing video
I use final cut pro (mac) for my video editing and all my movie clips are quicktime files. When I try to import a movie into an image layer, all I see is the image symbol, but no movie shows. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks!
