i guess no answer is my answer. bye bye Hi, I don't spend too much time on this site anymore. I dropped the S3D site as it wasn't being used - I moved the core of the calculations to my testing server ... need to go look what is happening over there/why its not downloading. The 3D manual wasn't wri...

Good to hear you survived okay ... been through two 6+ quakes (Australia and Thailand) and they're not fun, just a case of hanging on and waiting for mother nature to finish reminding you how insignificant and helpless you are.

Good luck with the rebuild.

Sorry, I missed the date on the last post - the spam had raised it from the original read status, misleading me to think it was active again. My bad.

I killed the spam to stop it being flagged as a new thread.

Fully agree with your points. But politics and legal issues aside, this has been an astonishing feat of engineering and technical cooperation: NASA, several German engineering firms and technical know-how from many other countries, all worked hand in hand with the Chileans to pull off what is a hist...

The Chilean Mine Rescue

Selgin, I know this is still a current operation and things are far from over but can I extend congratulations to your fellow countrymen on the astonishing success today ... I watched it live with a crowd of people here in Cambodia and there were cheers as the first guy broke the surface, some were ...

Resignation as Moderator

Hi Folks, After moderating on this board for the past three years or so, I have decided to stand down. Several reasons, pressure of work being high on the list. Something had to go. But increasingly I find myself in a quandary ... I am not happy with SM's direction of ASP and not being able to speak...

If the writer wants more influence over the animator, using the animation format in the script would help him exert that influence. Not so much about exerting more influence as providing assistance. Done properly, breaking a script into shots actually makes it easier to storyboard. Working on the i...

In my opinion, if it's just you and a guy, you don't need to reformat your script for animation. Normal screenplay formatting is fine, as long as your animator understands what's what. Not entirely sure I'd agree with that as its easier to think visually and create shots with words. If you have no ...

Pro animation scripts are different in that they run 30 secs to the page, not 1 minute to the page. This is because every shot is a scene, each with their own scene heading and new action EXT. WALLACE'S HOUSE - DAY 21 Wallace is bent over a silent lawnmower, looking puzzled. Grommet runs up with lar...

Their are a lot of jobs out there, where the pay doesn't come until the end. To be fair, JB, this one doesn't even have any pay guaranteed at the end, it's an "if". The guy is a new writer, his first screenplay (so 120 minutes kind of screenplay) and he has no concept of what is involved....

Imago, Try these changes. Put the shadow behind the building - the sun is on the front wall. The building is IN the ground not ON the ground - so the building should "sink" a little. The junction of the path to the building will be different the higher ground around it. I took the liberty ...
