All of your work is gorgeous! I have heard that animators use "After Effects" in their work. What kind of stuff can or do you do in after effects that helps with animations. I'm not sure really what AE software does. If it does things that I may want to try I may get AE.
thanks

Bare essentials Mouth Shapes???
I have never animated speech/dialogue. Is there a consensus among animators who use switch layers for mouth shapes of what the bare minimum you should have? I am making a retro type character with a limited animation look and I don't want or need an elaborate collection of mouth shapes. I did a sear...

Re: retro looking character and background
It's not as simple as "just set everything on two's". First, you didn't use "real" two's, since the physic (hat, tie) is still on one's. Second, the animation lacks that certain snappiness which in the 50's was achieved by a dynamic mix of holds and very fast movements. I tried ...

Re: retro looking character and background
I have made some changes to the animation. I believe I correctly changed the animation to "Twos", I also applied a bit more stretch on the fall, and lastly I animated the tie movement myself instead of bone dynamics. Please let me know what you think.

Re: retro looking character and background
Nice style and character - I think it's too smooth though - try animating on twos. Especially, the tie you used dynamics on seems to be flailing about uncontrollably and is really difficult to read. Due to the really fast movement you could also add some quite extreme stretching on some frames to h...

retro looking character and background
this is my attempt at a retro looking character in 1940s-50s style in this micro-short. Let me know what you think about the look of the scene and character, and of course the animation. Thanks.

Re: ASP 11 is Released!!!
Hello everyone, I just upgraded to ASP11 and I am very excited as Im sure you are too. I have a question. Is this new version supposed to overwrite and delete the previous version? Reason I'm asking is because now I have both versions on my computer. If it was supposed to get rid of the older versi...

Re: Animated Opening Sequence for Drone Videos
I also did the Voice Work in this animation....I was shooting for a Boris Karloff sounding voice, similar to his narration of "The Grinch"...what do you think? I think the voice acting was my favorite part. (Sound work overall is good.) :) In fact, now knowing the style and intended goal ...
