I agree with selgin and parker about freehand tool, the asset of vector tools is that you can obtain very smooth lines, and as parker shown, if you push the software great results are on your hand. I found AS more simple and fast than other applications like illustrator or inkscape when you have to ...

Ooh, styles. I stay away from them. Used them once for my Happy Land short, things went pear-shaped and got pretty confusing and weird (version 5.6 we're talking about) and found it was way easier to not even use styles. I agree. I tried once too but I messed up the whole work...they're not for me ...

Excellent work! You put togheter a nice shot...all involving, I like how you rendered feelings and the carefulness of animation, very smooth...the banjo guy head turn is a pearl! and nice use of colours, they give a suggestive flavour. I loved it!

This looks amazing. Really nice character design and BG art. Also hilarious transformation at 4:29. Is this cartoon new? i would like to know more about it. Seems to be new. This is episode zero, I found the link on AS facebook page. It's produced by an Italian studio, www.pseudotoonlab.com , one o...

If you need a single image, put all the elements on different layers then on layers window uncheck layer visibility for those you don't need and render the frame as png with ctrl+r. If you need an animation the only way I know to mantein transparency is to export as png image sequence and rearrange ...

Volter, I'm curious why you don't use a tablet for vector drawings in ASP. Is a tablet not really suited for that? I can't say that. I can tell you why I don't use the tablet for vector stuff. I have a traditional approach when drawing, when I have to do sketches I use the tablet on a bitmap applic...

It just depends from the use you're going to make... I have a wacom tablet, bamboo fun, but never used in AS. I use the tablet to make sketches or other bitmap artworks, but not for vector stuff. When I work with AS I use only the mouse and never use freehand tool. But that's how i work...it depends...
